    300 kms - a 9 km hike and some smaller

    This morning breakfast was included, a real norwegian breakfast with all kinds of cheeses and local specialties. We had brown 'cheese' which is made from the leftovers of cheese - so not really cheese where they add sugar - so it is a very sweet thing.     ... large ship is one of the largest ferries in the world and is run by Colour Line and sails from Keil in Germany to Oslo daily.

    Out here on the freezing upper deck I simply could not stop taking photos of the wonderful scenery and by the time I gave up the ferry had already docked and so it was a mad rush back to my cabin to grab my boxes and get down to car deck 3 and find my bike.

    ... It is Norway's second largest of the 28 remaining stave churches. It was built in 1220 on the site of an even older church. In 1630 parts of the church were rebuilt and the red tower was added. We were able to go inside this impressive church and toured the large graveyard. We did find some graves that belonged to the Moen family but none of Peder Moen's ancestors.
