... Lom is along the road to my left but according to a few locals I spoke to on the pass I should turn right and head for the town of Vagamo as the hotels are cheaper in that town.
Sure enough I do a right and simply take it easy and keep well within the speed limit and just take in the scenery.
And it was a good job I was not breaking the speed as there before the town were the cops out with their speed gun and ready to fine any speeding motorist.
... we stayed at in Ringebu is called the Spidsbergseter Gudbrandsdal Hotel (try saying that fast five times, or even once!). This is the place with the stuffed musk ox in the bar. I have included some pictures. This area is popular for Norwegians who like to hike and walk the trails here and many residents from Lillihammer and Oslo own summer homes in Ringebu.
