Langkawi Cable Car is located in Langkawi, Malaysia. I've visited the Langkawi Cable Car twice. Really enjoyed the ride. Its starts from the foot of a mountain named "Machincang Mountain".and stretched about 2 kilometres up. Driving from Kuah Town to the foot of a mountain will take you about 30 minutes while its just take 15 minutes if you come from Langkawi International Airport. For more blogging and picture about it. ... laughing. Langkowi…what a great island.

After saying goodbye and I hope to see you again to all our new friends we jumped onto a ferry over to the island of Penang where our flight to Vietnam was from. The main city on Penang is called Georgetown and it was a bit of a shock to be back in a real city, with its traffic and not-just-for-tourist shops and restaurants. We had some excellent Indian food that night, and the next day Mimosa and I ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia maam... food.

Monday morning we only had a few hours before our flight so we decided to get a massage. However, because places stay open late, we had a problem finding a spa that was open early! On our drive back towards the airport, we tried one last place at the Langkawi Lagoon Resort's Embun Spa. YES! They were open, the scenery was beautiful with villas on the water and we could have a couples massage. PERFECTION!!

Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia chiyoda99... We walked for
around 5km before giving up. Along the way we went onto a beach that
had a little rocky headland that we walked over. It was really nice
and on the otherside was a huge resort which we had to trespass
through to get back to the road (they had a really good pool so might
go back for a swim tomorrow afternoon). We then went up a hill that
was a 10 percent incline and down the other side to be greeted with a<br ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia kaylaandbryden... we volunteered with a local cafe owner to clean up the beach. Unfortunately many Asian people litter everything and anything, everywhere. On the beach, in the water, on the streets. The cafe owner, us Canucks, and 4 other occidental travelers were the only volunteers. In a couple hours we picked and scooped almost 40 bags of garbage...sick.

Langkawi has some awesome beaches, delicious seafood ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia arikandcharis... rice and a communal mug of water if you didn't already bring your own. Space is limited and you must reserve before hand so she can make enough. It is a family style dining experience and a nice way to get to know your neighbors and people you are staying with. Her cousin Dam is also great company as well. His English is very limited, as is our Thai so our conversations remain pretty basic but always fun. After a few days a bungalow ...
Koh Lipe, Thailand seekingcindy... them. Don't bother getting the breakfast on the train-it is gross. The dinner is alright but obviously overpriced. Better to bring your own food. Hat Yai has tour agents set up all over trying to sell you mini bus tickets to the ferry. As a foreigner it is impossible not to over pay as you constantly get funneled to these tour agency people. It is very frustrating! Chris bought his cellphone this trip (what we should have done in Africa ...
Koh Lipe, Thailand kytravelsGeorgetown doesn't have enough to keep me here any longer so me and 5 people in the dorm decide to move on the Langkawi. Langkawi is a tourist destination for the Malay people and is also a Duty Free zone. We expect beaches, island touring and cheap drinking. We are not disapointed. After an early morning running about in the usual hangover daze ...
Langkawi, Pinang, Malaysia andrew.chudiak... swim, we wandered up the beach as the sun set and then walked down the stretch of beachfront restaurants and bars looking for a place to eat. We were accosted by a shaven headed English guy who said we had to stay and join his table of 4 for the full moon party they were trying to have instead of being on Ko Pha Ngan with 10,000 others. So after dinner we joined their table which slowly grew to about 15 people including other ...
