... were able to view Zell from above and really appreciate how lovely and picturesque the whole valley is. It's hard to comprehend that the history of this area can be traced back to 2000BCE and parts of the town walls erected in 1229 can still be seen!. Zeller Schwarze Katz is a world famous wine and a monument in the shape of a black cat was made as a fountain and is located in the town square. Tomorrow we are planning a boat trip.

After an exhausting trip we have arrived at our apartment in Zell and what a wonderful sight. We look out over the Mosel River at a very busy river moving vessels of all description and charming houses on the banks opposite. Zell is noted for it's wine growing and I guess we are going to help support the locals and try a few! Today has been a very quiet day as we try and recuperate from our jet lag so we have only done a walk ...

Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

... Here in Germany you could probably sit at your table for a whole day
without being bothered by a waitress, whereas in America, the waitresses
constantly come to the table making sure you don’t need anything. My best guess as to why this is would be
because the people in Germany aren't working to get a tip, but in America it is
all about pleasing the customers so you get tipped well at the end of the
meal. I also think it ...

... out on Saturday to explore Mainz. Mainz is a city west of Frankfurt that is one of the oldest settlements in all of Germany dating back to the Roman times. In fact, the station that we got out at called Romisches Theater is actually built on a Roman theater and just next to the platforms are part of the remains. We walked around the historic city center and it was an amazing break from the corporate skyscrapers of ...
