We arrived at Llanes and it took 5 hours to drive to Lanes. It was so boring.
When we got there we realized that there were cats.

They were so cute and there was also donkeys, cows and sheep.

The next day we went to some blow holes.

Our days were filled with exploring and trying to find the numerous tiny and hidden beaches scattered around this area.

The most interesting and unusual was the one where we parked, walked across a grassy field towards a cliff and found a beach, surrounded on all sides by rock cliffs and grass fields.

But somehow the waves found there way through the rocks to form a small beach.

But it is really waves crashing through underground tunnels which came up to the surface and
    blew out mist.
My sister was a bit scared. It was so good, that we went back the day after to see them again.

I really enjoyed Llanes because it was different it was like in the outback with tonnes of
    animals.

We have had one adrenalin filled morning when the skylight above our bed blow off!! We were just saying that this was the first wind (it was pretty strong) that we had encountered!! Fortunately it was 9am and Stephen was able to find most of the pieces, we spent about an hour gluing and taping it back together and reinstating it. It is watertight but will have to be replaced. We cannot believe how lucky we were. It could have been raining and ...

Here eating is a way of life. There are restaurants and cafes everywhere. It makes you wonder how that many can survive. Businesses open from 10-12. Lunch goes from 12 - 2 and then the shops reopen and go from 4 - 10pm. Hard to get used to. They start dinner about 9pm even the kids about 1-3.

We found a funicular in the alps (50km away) up to a local monastery and small bckwoods villag and saw the back end ...
