We stayed at Fave Hotel in Seminyak for 3 days but extended our stay for another day due to an annoying illness flu type that I had and was in bed for 2 days.

Dispute that we both enjoyed the clean, comfy, friendly hotel with a range of films on at night, tastey breakfast and dart board that we used one evening.

There were shops, a beach, food places, live music and a large supermarket/ shopping centre near by.

The only down fall we felt with this hotel was the pool was very small and only had 4 loungers which were always full.

I would totally recommend this hotel to travellers. As this was our first trip to Bali I didn't know what to expect, and was a little apprehensive as it had some unfavourable reviews on TripAdvisor. But we found it fantastic! The service is AMAZING. From the desk staff to the porters to the bar staff, everyone went out of their way to help, and many didn't even hang around to get a tip after their service! It was great. The room was fairly large and very clean. We had a balcony room so we were over the street, so admittedly it can be loud at night time........but generally we are party people and were probably part of the noise for other guests on most nights :) The live music venues on this street are amazing! So the noise was really not that bothersome to us. And for the price we paid per night, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We were extremely satisfied and would definitley stay again. It was in a great area for our kind of holiday and the price can't be beaten. One comment may be that it wouldn't be the best place for a family holiday, as there is a lot of partying going on around the hotel and it can be noisy. Having never stayed anywhere else in Bali I wouldn't know what to recommend, but I imagine one of the more upscale resort areas would have more kid friendly activities available. We just enjoyed as a couple on this occasion, so it was great for us :)

It's day thirteen of my holiday and it's almost over :( so I thought I would get one more day of shopping in. I went down to the shops and everything I saw that I wanted last time I thought I would get.

After about 3 hours of shopping I had so many bags it wasn't funny. I got some lunch and went back to my resort to drop the bags off and ...

Sorry it's been so long but so busy at the moment and all this diving takes it out of you, so I've been here two weeks now and I'm beginning to settle in nicely, days are early to start with a roll call at 6:30am every morning, and then most days we sort out our kit and head to the mini busses to head of to the various dive sites, I've been at least once to all the major ones. The most obvious place to start ...

At first we thought it was just to save the time & hassle of them searching our bags but as he did it with so many we became more suspicious as to what was in the leather briefcase on the dashboard. We thought we were making good time across Bali until the driver then told us that it would be many more hours. Annoyed, we settled down for a ...

This is the time of adjustment, not only to the difference in time but also the warmer climate (around 30 to 36 degrees Celsius), the hectic and chaos that is Kuta and the warm greetings of all the local people here.  The flight went by very fast and Djuna has done exceptionally for her first flight ever. She slept 1,5 hours and then just had to play with Ella, the little daughter of an Australian couple we met in the plane. The plane was very quiet and although ...
