My New Fave - Fave Hotel

Great place to stay. You don't have to PAY for the beach view, and you're a quick walk to the beach. Pool was great. Kid friendly, perfect for lounging, and doing laps if you wanted.
Staff was tremendous; fun to engage in conversation with, and helpful in recommending good day trips for your stay.

      Holiday @ Fave Hotel, langkawi

We stayed Fave Hotel for 2 nights.
The hotel is clean, big and the receptionist is very friendly.
Location of this hotel is near to Airport.

At night, there's "pasar malam" - night market within walking distance. There's lots of small shops/stalls, restaurant, and even shopping mall.

You can enjoy sun rise from the hotel, or even drive to beach, which just 5 mins drive.

My Dad had a week in Singapore, and wanted to spend some time on a beach, so he told me to plan a trip.

He had his heart hung up on Bali, but I'd told him we'd find cooler.

Off to Langkawi, Malaysia. A stone's throw from Singapore, and for a fraction of the price.

The beaches are awesome. White sand, and green islands …

... realization that this wasn't going to be easy set in after our third place of only double rooms with a/c at high prices. We were pointed in the direction of daddy's dorms and I secretly had my fingers crossed as the sweat was now pooling down my back. Once we arrived it felt like a snap shot of the six o'clock news. A disgusting man approached us and showed us what easily could have been a room that held abducted children hostage. Daddy was a bad man and this dorm was disgusting! ...

After the excitement we pack and get our taxi to the jetty. The ferry doesn't leave for a few hours and as we wander around dragging our bags we see two words that have been a source of comfort and joy whenever we are in ...

We were picked up at 7am from our hotel and picked up a pit more passengers and bags along the way it was pretty crowded!! We took two flat car ferries across the small sea areas between the islands. Then we had about two hours on the mini bus to trang. When we arrived in trang we had a bit if a wait for our next minibus which was taking us to satun where we would then get the ferry to Malaysia. It was about two hours ...
