... were to stay outside, as the others were starting to get out.

We went to a house where we were offered traditional candies and coffee or tea. Our hosts were very kind and also found a few bottles of cold beverages for those in the group who needed something cold to drink (It was a hot and sunny day).

We ended our tour by crossing the river in a raft with all the bikes (without the horse carriage!) and went back to the hotel.

I figured a gift to the clinic would be better than getting her something she probably doesn't need, especially since PNTC and helping children is what she dedicates her life to. I started my usual morning off by treating Feri, who hadn't been there for 2 days - not sure why. I know she isn't ...

So when she told us that she wanted to take us to a Japanese restaurant, we were REALLY REALLY hoping that we heard her right! Yes, sushi and rolls and other good things we haven't had here yet! A few others from PNTC (Dias, Puji and Raras) joined us to go to the puppet show after dinner. It isn't a "puppet" show like we would think in ...

... the little place next to PNTC are so good! I might have to treat myself to one a day. Our dance teacher, Bonetti, invited us to a Javanese dance performance tonight. I decided to go at the last minute and I'm so glad I did. It was very cool! It was at an outdoor amphitheatre in the national park and there was probably almost 200 people watching. The dance told the story of a princess ...

Today, Mily and her husband, Aldi, offered to take some of us Batik shopping. Batik is a traditional fabric print that a lot of their clothes are designed from. Good quality Batik is usually hand-painted onto the fabric. There are many designs/patterns on different types of fabrics. Mily, Aldi, Malek, Elli ...
