And when I read it the next morning, it was not very good and was full of jumbled thoughts. However, I was impressed with how grammatically correct everything was and how on point my spelling was! I was sharing a bottle of wine with some friends and became pretty homesick, so naturally I was like, "duh! I should totally write a blog post about it RIGHT NOW!" Not one of my greatest ideas.

... on the walk home I saw this lady on the ground crying with a guy yelling out from his door (I'm assuming her boyfriend) I stayed and watched for a bit just to make sure, not that there was anything I could really do in a strange country not knowing anyone. After enduring the movie Under the Tuscan Sun on the bus we arrive in a warm Florence. Our apartment is a tiny wee shoebox on the top floor with no aircon but it is nice to get away from hostels for a change.

Town is full of mainly wealthy tourists. There are markets everywhere selling leather handbags and many shops. I see the tiniest buses zooming around. It seems there is a sense of order to traffic here and also parking rules. The parking wardens wear ...

... quite a windy day so, standing outside wasn't that pleasant, and it was crowded around the museum entrance. We saw the Piazza San Marco nearby and headed there for some open space. Lucky for us, you can't throw a rock in Italy without hitting a church, and there was Chiesa San Marco (and they didn't even charge to enter).
