Apparently this fresco was one of the first to show an expression of human emotion, which seems quite bizarre when you think of Italians and their over enthusiasm for life! So I went to the cafe, bought a coffee, stood outside and was surrounded by Italian chain smokers, so I threw my coffee down and went back in.

... some money for paper and printing however! ( I am getting pretty tough on these homeless people) We only had an hour and half in Pisa so we grabbed some lunch then headed on our train to Monterosso to start the Cinque Terre for the next four days!
Apologies this is a rather a long one - we can print this out at the end of the journey into a book hence the detail, apologies if it is getting a tedious!

On our way there, we walked through a little alleyway where school children were being let out for the day and families were there picking them up (no one was in a car; everyone walked or rode bikes).
