      ... few people make as much as we do. And so far, I don't think they have the same variety or quality. Except wine. Even the cheapest red wine is good - or so we have found. John and I were the chefs tonight. I felt some pressure as I didn't have any recipes. I am just a middling cook, and I wanted it to be somewhat interesting. The kitchen is limited in terms of equipment, I've not used gas before, the slow burner would not light. We did not blow up. Done was a first in Italy ...

      I have just returned from 7 hours of eating, cooking and drinking. I can honestly say I am about to burst. I cannot move… even walking back to my apartment put strain on my stomach. Today has been fantastic in so many different ways.

      ... to go up, and so we once again climbed up a narrow stairway. The views from the tree-covered-top were indeed spectacular and made the climb worth it. If you have been following our blog you can probably guess what came next - gelato (strawberry, lemon, Sacher torte, mango and Madagascar vanilla flavors were sampled).
