... past and went into one of the cubicles. Sue was following me and I heard her ask if the toilets were open. On being told "Non!" she had to go about a hundred yards to search for the only other block on site. Other campers were also wandering round like there was a treasure hunt going on. ... old men that are alone in a train station :-)
We arrived in Orleans, took a cab to the hotel, checked in, received a very informative brief from Stephanie who is a tour operator that works for Loire Valley Travel / RandoVelo tour company and found our pre-booked dinner reservation in the city centre by 8pm. There is space for about ten vans, and, by evening it is full. Not surprising really, it is a very pleasant spot, on the banks of the River Loir and off the busy main road (N10).

It is here, I find, the helpful French people at Uzerche did not do the internet registration ...

After packing up Ethel and preparing to move on in true gypsy style, we got Joan (sat nav) to calculate an eco route, conserving diesel and avoiding the toll roads. Clever Joan we thought, that is until she tried to take us through a tunnel with a 2m height restriction!! We were not going to be led into this trap again after the last fiasco, as we like our new roof hatches, so we managed to escape onto a slip road just before the tunnel, ...
