We played at Golf Haute Poitou, St. Cyr, their local course , but a good drive away. Swam , Cycled to Ruffec, and generally had a good time in their lovely home with warm sunshine.

... wigs have also kipped there from time to time leaving major works of art and lots of gold and stuff there for the privelege – it’s very cool. We’re not disappointed!

There’s only so much oohh-ing and ahh-ing and looking at old stuff that you can do in one morning, so after a walk around the chateaux we set off for Cognac with a pit stop at Chatellerault for a froggy lunch of Croque Monsieur in the lovely French sunshine.

... so after Domme we headed to the Dordognne River and rented our canoes, Don,t miss the videos, It was a beautiful canoe ride, about 2 1/2 hours on  the river, stopping at several quaint towns with castles, We picnicked in La Roque, passed by Castlenaud and pulled out in Beynac. ... I still managed 10,000. At about 6 we took off to find the goose farm and see how they force feed them. We were chastised for being late, but since we played dumb, they gave us a tour.
