Helen & Dave were due in around 14:20 so we had the morning free. We spent it by doing some more laundry and shopping, buying salad items and bread, better today than yesterday to maximise freshness. They are from Southampton and have ...

There is very little point in writing reams about a day where not very much happened so I won't do so here. We also needed to decide quite when to get to Vastervik – being on an anchor in pouring rain is not quite as much fun as when the weather is good, obviously. It looked like things might deteriorate Sunday night, so we decided to get half the distance done ...

... the result of a virus infection when his immune system had necessarily been compromised. Dear Lord, what a horrible way to start the day and our thoughts go out to Joan and his children. Mike was full of life, generous to a fault and a joy to have around, in short, one of the good guys and we will all miss him, bless him. What a sad day.

I really don't want, or intend to be trite but the original idea of the blog was ...
