... buildings, land and information made us feel like we were experiencing something we haven’t known before – a secret life.

We left and managed to get back to see the boys playing their soccer match which was great. The stadium was amazing, with lights, great grounds and facilities. After Levane the Fiorentino team was playing – higher league, very purple and professional looking. Back home to Silivia & ...

I wouldn’t really recommend the place, much nicer cities in the area. One of them is Montepulciano, which we visited next. ... come at just the right time here in Siena... After wandering up and down the steep alleys a bit more, through tunnels and under sheets hanging from the windows, a reminder of the more simple things of life here in Siena. Time to get something to eat. Emaddedine had told me that everything's very expensive here in Siena. However I do manage to find a carry out pizza place for a mere 4 Euros, bringing this beautiful day to a ...

... OUR ITINERARY: Siena. Lunch at a farm. San Gimignano. Pisa.

As we left Florence, Beck gave us an introduction to our first stop in Tuscany: Siena. Siena is an ancient town situated at the top of three hills and its historical center, the Piazza del Campo holds the prestige of being ranked the 3rd most beautiful square in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The early Etruscan settlers founded this town between 900 and 400 B.C. ...
