Heading to island paradise

A travel blog entry by pwassell

Early flight this morning to Male. When I say early, it was 09:35. So we got up at 6:30 to check out and take the 5 minute taxi ride to the airport. It's just over the road, however they don't cater for pedestrians here. The hotel didn't charge us for the taxi back, I hope this was because I made it clear how annoyed I was with the non smoking/smoking room.

The airport was heaving, it's the end of the Christmas holidays so a lot of people heading home. We're not.

1 eel in its cave
1 flounder with its weird eyeballs and incredible camouflage
more fish than we can count, in every color and hue and pattern imaginable!

We rented the snorkels at about 10:30am and waded out on the north side of the ...

He told us that he made it clear to his wife before they got married that he "sometimes wears shorts and doesn't have [his] head covered", and that she could make her own decisions about how covered up she wants to be. He did not want to force her ...

I wish they would clean it up

... Suez Canal. We go through the Suez on Thursday and we are looking forward to that because we really enjoyed it last time.
We have watched the boat building competion final today and only one boat was any good, but they were probably all better than the one we made on our world cruise. All good fun and we were glad that someone else was doing all the work. We haven't improved in our trivia endeavours but ...
