... Morzine and then into Avoriaz to visit our old house! Turns out the snow finished early and the resort was closed mid April, instead of May. Place was bare during our visit and like a ghost town. And it was very cold as well. Down the hill, a quick look around Morzine before heading off too Les Gets for lunch and then onwards. Our last little bit of Italy. A heavy shower goes over and as we look ahead towards Pisa the clouds look ominous. As we pull into the coach parking area, a distance away from the tower, we are inundated with sellers of umbrellas. ... call Secret Service guys with wires coming out of their ears. In the end we had to leave and didn't get to see the President. Of course, I wouldn't have recognized him if I saw him.

Once again we played trivia and lost – and once again there weren't enough players for Bingo so Sue was depressed the rest of the evening.

It was a very interesting day. Tomorrow we go to Cannes, Grass and St Paul de Vence.
