... bought two more purses. This place is ridiculous. Or I am. Whichever, I love it, I love me, I love life. Shopping high anyone? Not wanting to carry two large (ridiculously gorgeous) purses around with me all day, I backtracked to the apartment to drop them off. Then off to Dosoduro I headed. It was sad to leave our little hamlet in the mountains. It was something we won't forget in a hurry. Certainly not the usual touristie place to stay. Man invented machine for a reason (and even then, tablecloths are low on the list). Then a glass demonstration that was exponentially cooler, watched a guy make a horse via glass-blowing, in barely all of a minute, and then despite our oohs and ahhs and genuine fascination, as soon as we left the room ...

Venice second time round

... Simeone across from S. Lucia station. Our full day today (Sunday) we woke to a wet day which only got worse as the morning wore on. Made our way to S Marco Square only to find it semi flooded with streams of people trying to negotiate their way around on the walkways set up above ground level with a sea of umbrellas in every colour you could imagine. Umbrella and poncho sales would have had some people smiling today but the best thing we saw were ...
