When we arrived in Tamsweg, the snowflakes were about the size of my fist... we were worried we were going to get snowed in but luckily the snow had stopped by the evening.
Then we had a lovely relaxing evening playing cards!
... was really nice seeing them again - it is their last few days in Austria so it was good to see them before they went back to England.
We went for a couple of games of bowling before we left and said our final goodbyes to the Virtual Heroes lot!
THEN we were off on a 3.5 hour journey up to Linz! (after refuelling with a McDonalds of course!)

We didn't have to ask for directions much today and we arrived at 4:20 in Spilimbergo. The sky had mostly cleared and the temperature was warm, so we had a very enjoyable evening in the old part of the city.

... was safer and far more interesting. Plus, compared to what we had done yesterday, these hills were nothing, although we did have to walk a few times. We went up the mountain side to where there were centuries old houses along narrow and steep streets. Hans explained to me that bike route was part of the old Roman road in that area.
My brakes were loose and almost completely worn, so we stopped and tightened them. Tomorrow we would have to find a bike shop.
Today was mainly a road day taking in the spectacular views of the mountain ranges Austria so often offers. Stopped at St Michael planning our route in the tourist information centre, before giving skippy a poor work out up and over what looked like some amazing ski villages in winter.
