... oars or electric motors. We spend 2 nights here and enjoy fabulous food, including a dinner where Adam orders the Wild Boar Goulash with Dumplings. I go for the safety of the daily menu, which includes soup, vegetable strudel and blueberry cake. Delicious and nutritious, I look at horror at Adam’s dumpling as they look like they are filled with the insides of the poor wild boar. I ask the waitress if it contains offal, she confirms that is only bread and the liver was in ...

Today we went to the world heritage site Dachstein Salzkammergut. It was really interesting but also disappointing. The day started again gloomy and very wet, we did not start on our adventure until eleven. But we did see the runners involved in the half day Martin run pass our hotel. We stood on our balcony as they went past with an offical telling them to go to the left to continue around the lake. We were told that we could to the cable car from our hotel and ...

We decided due to the inclement weather, it was raining properly now and the clouds down low that we would not take the cable car above the township to look at the view nor would we take the boat trip. There is only one real road, all the others are ...

... make out through the gloom, towering mountains, boats like butterflies, flitting across the water, and church steeples as we rounded bends. Then we followed a river for many miles until we came to lake Hallstatt. We swept along the shores until you could see the township of Hallstatt with its distinct church steeples. The train stops at the train station called Hallstatt but to get to the town you must cross the lake by ferry. We arrive at the small village and walk to our ...

... riding tour involved driving down the ringstrasse which is an avenue which encircles the old city of Vienna. I also walked this entire avenue to get better pictures of the sites. There is a tram that goes along the avenue. I walked. We saw the upper Belvedere. We did not go inside but walked around the gardens where there is a beautiful view of the city. Our tour guide in Vienna was ok but I don't remember the stories or if there were stories. I ...
