Salzburg's supporters tired to suppress the protestant rebellion, and condemned their
opposition to death setting their homes on fire. In 1734, 300 Protestants were forced

What amazing landscape as we roll along the Danube on another beautiful sunny day, Austria has certainly did their best to make us feel welcome and enjoy this day.

So we walked for an hour of which half of it was climbing up a steep hill on a winding road. ( that's all I am going to say). We walked along the fast flowing river, then along a very fast flowing creek going down hill and the trees became very tall and at points we could see over them. ...

A very wet and foggy morning! Not a good start as the photos show, still we walked the half hour along the lake from Obertraun to Hallstatt station. It is a lovely walk even when it is drizzling, we passed several people with dogs and bikes along this path. Once you reach the station it is a very short walk to the ferry, this is the way you get to the old town of Hallstatt. This area has been inhabited for over 7,000 years. The salt mine made the town of ...
