We were slightly disappointed with Mumbai only in that it still has that hustle n bustle of a typical Indian city but it seems to have accommodated a bit too much to Western taste and style. My time in Goa was definitely memorable and my main highlights were the elephant shower and meeting up with my Cousins. I would have loved to have been able to spend more time with them but as we are on a tight schedule, it had to be a brief stop on this occasion, hopefully I will be able to come back and see them again ...

Fish Curry in Goa during the Monsoon

I spent a week on the deserted beaches of Goa, mostly in Arambol Beach, a place with a handful of sole travelers, long term stayers and hippies left over from the previous high season or possibly even from the sixties. It was pouring down when I arrived. Most of the guesthouses, restaurants and shops were closed for the monsoon season, all wrapped in orange and blue plastic tarp for ...
