    ... we've never visited before on our way to TX.

    Before I forget, I do want to say Happy Birthday to some special family/friends celebrating their birthdays in August and September: Happy Birthday to Bren, Bruce, Ted, Brian, Jenny, Ruth, Betty, Jamie, Kathy, Dave and me!!! Many more happy days being wished to you all.

    ... and excited to explore a new area of the state and its history. Again, not wanting to repeat myself, but worth noting, the scenery through south western Pennsylvania is stunning. The forested landscape within the Allegheny Valley, dotted with flowered meadows, and picturesque farms, paints a picture that words cannot adequately describe.

    Sorry, I got side tracked...back to our travels.

    Just to give you a heads up, the kids have gotten use to having big breakfasts this week. There is a possibility they may continue to expect this.

    ... eat again. (Don't be surprised if your kids come home expecting 3 large meals a day.) We were thrilled to see that their VBS kids had made signs for us and they were strung around the sanctuary.
