You had to pay to enter the mud baths, even if you didn't go in and I have to admit (at the risk of sounding a snob - after visiting the blue lagoon (Iceland) there was no way I getting in the water/mud here!! It was hard to distinguish where the actual 'natural healing' spring started and where it was ...

... of the world is explored, and that some areas can retain a look and feel unique in the world.

For me some of the best places are areas that retain a pleasant and unique environment, whilst subtly presenting me with the things that allow me to be more comfortable. Simply presenting me with an English menu describing the local cuisine would be a good example - not one filled with pictures of overly sweet iced-cream desserts.

I looked at the stack of unopened “daily quote” e-mails that I’ve been receiving from Abraham-Hicks.com. The one I arbitrarily opened read:

“There will be a time, not so far from now, that you will look back on this phase of your life and instead of condemning it or beating up on it... Instead of blaming or guilting, you will feel appreciation for it, because you will understand that a renewed desire for life was born out ...

pamukkale is expensive.

Awoke near Pamukkale and paid a scandalous amount to get in. 10 pounds each to see some tepid pools of water. Even the initially striking karstic rock was pretty much covered in faint brown footprints. The extorsion didn't end there as it turned out that Cleopatra's Baths, the hot spring at the top was an additional cost. We thought we could get away with just paying for one of us to get in and then swapping the ...

... one who almost made us late when she wandered off to look at God knows what on the side of the road. It was a tense moment among many other tense moments that morning for Hayden, our Kiwi guide who speaks very limited Turkish. While I really liked our guides on the Fez Bus, Hayden and Jeremy were a blast, their limited Turkish and our drivers' limited English made for both hilarious but also horribly frustrating times.

When we got to the other sdide of the ...

... in a month or so. My room was large and had a nice balcony, tv and AC! I have not turned on the ac or tv but they may get used. The bathroom is interesting though since there is no shower stall. There is just a handheld shower mounted on the wall with no enclosure! You could brush your teeth, sit on the toilet and shower at the same time! It seems very efficient but I will make sure I'm not in any hurry.

... then we shall visit the tombs at the ancient city of Caunos and onto Iztuzu beach which is famous as a nesting ground for the turtle, and they are nesting there this time of year. On Saturday we shall make the short 2 hour trip towards Fethiye, maybe stay there or in Olu Deniz for 3 nights before our cruise. Having a wonderful time, missing you all.........
