Travel Blogs from Sharm El-Sheikh
... from the UK. When we returned to the "public" beach we found that it cost $2 Euro each to use the 30 foot wide access to the beach....with only about that much space at the beach front. Other beachs cost closer to $12 Euro each...so we did like our find.
There were two little Egyptian boys playing and we got a kick out of them and their families.
... I would be more than happy to stay awhile. It's hard to believe that in 2004 a terrorist drove a truck into the lobby of this hotel and detonated a bomb, killing 34 and injuring hundreds. Not incidentally, we go through several layers of security to get into the hotel. But I doubt the place is much of a target now, seeing we're about the only guests here.
We have the afternoon free, so Bruce and I try relaxing on the beach for a bit. That's when we get hit ...

The next day it was time for some more diving. We took the boat near Tiran Island this time. We did a drift dive at Woodhouse Reef and dove at the incredible Jackson Reef. Due to the current we couldn't go all the way to the drop off point and so I'm sorry to say that the only shark I've ...
... seen, swam through a cave, and saw dozens of different types of sea life including blue spotted stingrays, pike fish, jellyfish, stone fish, lion fish, moray eels, dolphins (above and below the surface), and on our last dive a regal turtle swam right below us in the opposite direction along the aquatic highway.
Turns out that snorkeling is really easy, but diving isn’t. The best analogy for this place I’ve come up with is that Ras Mohammed National Park is like ...
... experienced friend who also works for Sinai Divers. I explained what happened and we put up a security plan and action if it should happen again.
So this day we swam the exact same route down to 27.5 meters. Down on 27.5 I felt absolutely nothing. Of course I thought about it enormously. I imagined myself that I felt something. I stopped to feel my heart beat, but there was nothing.
Experiences like this keeps you ...
