It was already around 9:30, but the bus driver said it'd take another 2 hour. So it seemed we'd not arrive as early as we expected. We were not completely worn out by the museum visit, so we went to the South Bend Public Library Main Branch. We had fun for about an hour in the children's reading area. We were able to walk out to the end of the breakwater on the left and the one on the right which has two light sources on it. The waves were breaking on the lighthouse breakwater and the surf rolled into the shore. A person in a kayak was out in the waves enjoying the ride and later two people on stand-up jet skis came and rode the waves jumping high in the air ...

... was an area that was obviously where the tourists went to take buggy rides and browse the shops. It reminded me of Montville on a weekend but in American Amish country. It was interesting to see the horses and buggies going along the road shoulder and cars on the road. We saw so many horses and buggies in a small area in such a short period of time and it was not put on for the tourists. That was just how I wanted to see their community.
