Well...this time honestly I didn´t have time to make travel list or structure my backpack. After finishing my PhD graduation there was time onyl to celebrations and party (since the last months I rarely had much time).
Heidelberg is ...
Without an official job offer, I took advantage of my free time and joined Jon at his conference in Heidelberg. As it turns out, the official job offer was coming, but that comes later . . . In the mean time, I got to explore while Jon had to sit and listen. Lucky me!
We've become big fans of the day passes for trains and busses. For one, you can travel around and cut out a bit of walking. But really, it's ...
Well we didn't really spend much time in Frankenthal. It was really just a stopover since we arrived a day early for my mum to arrive in Frankfurt.
We got to Frankfurt and found a call shop to help us find a hostel/hotel for a good price. Unfortunately there weren’t any in Frankfurt so we made our way to Frankenthal about 30 minutes outside of Frankfurt. One piece of advice…when parking in paid parking areas make sure you pay! Haha…we ...
So today we are departing Heidelberg. Last night we had our last Heidelberg beer at the Roten Oksen (The Red Ox), which in its day was Mark Twain's favorite bar. I always marvel that places like that survive the centuries- in America, we'd have knocked it down decades ago, put up a condo, and named it The Mark Twain in memoriam.
I liked Heidelberg- it's hard not to, with its stunning castle ruins hanging ...

Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany rush0517... morning. Oh Weather.com, how you taunt me with your wildly inaccurate predictions...me and my light fall fleece thank you...
We left Bad Wimpfen this morning at 8am, and drove north up the Burgenstrasse to Heildelberg. Literally, there was a hilltop castle hanging over every town en route. It got repetitive after a while. But color me pleased with the German tourist board: when you call something the "Castle Road," you MEAN it. I do not feel cheated. Cold, maybe, but not ...
... C word in their language, and they use it regularly! it just means edge, like the edge of the table. it still sounds terrible when they say it
i find it hilarious how the finnish saz 'helsinki'. the intonation's all different, and I remind them of it regularly :P

after the case studz work zesterday we went to a local brewery, Eichbaum. it was far too hot, but still good fun. afterwards we ...
... an additional two weeks. Once that is over decide to stay an additional month, thereby consistently doubling your time until you've been there 7 years. At that point, return home. Trust me, you'll be refreshed!) Even if I could probably draw out every little interaction into a 40 page novella, which would be great I'm sure, I'll just sum up the rest of the vacation with this little effort here. You can always email me if you want to know more. Or you can just ...
Sankt Leon, Germany danielwolfe... churches in Koblenz, I visited many. All were fun. Of course Protestantism is still very much alive in Germany. I won't doubt that, but you know, often we judge a king by his castle, and such is the same for religion. So what does that say? Nothing, friends, nothing at all. I write this only as a crass exploration of something I care zilch for. Why? Because I hate religion. I hate what it has done to this world and continues to do. I hate when el presidente Jorge Bush waxes ...
