Well, as I will no doubt be running round like a mad woman tomorrow I thought it best to start this today! My last full day at home for some time. I am packed and ready to go!!

The weekend before that I made a quick trip up to my home land, Scotland, to meet some family from my Mum's side who lived in Glasgow. I satyed at my grans twin-sisters daughters house, and it was just like going home for the weekend!! Janet was a complete replica of my own mother... and by the end of my stay there i came to accept her as my Glasgow Mother... I already miss her to bits! Same can be said to all my cousins that I met there ...

... stuff is planned.

Now we are starting to get an idea of which are the 'must not be missed' places along the way - we can't possibly see everywhere and experience everything but shortlisting is going to be tricky!

... done up like a vampire as well. Quite disconcerting - and it was most unsettling. The taxi driver said the place really goes crazy at Halloween and he hates it. He wasn't looking forward to the night ahead at all. Poor thing. Houses, shops, pubs, along the streets, all displayed symbols of death and horror. I don't think I've ever seen such a display before. We were glad to leave Wigan and the feeling of desperation we sensed.

... my hands up, i'd get pelted with about three paintballs... ooooooooooh the pain!!!!!!! I could be found yelling, "Okay OKAY, You got me!!", while somewhere in the distance i could hear my cousins' girlfriend swearing outloud her disgust for Team Cheaters. The worst bruise is on my left thigh... it was given to me during one of the settings where there was a barn like structure... and i was crouched down inside shooting out with my back to the entrance ...

Tow truck 2, turns up at 15:29 and we are off again for the next leg of the journey, Stirling Services to Lancaster Services. This journey takes around 4 hours and I have a nice chat with the driver, Jim all the way. We phone ahead and arrange the next tow truck to meet us at Lancaster at 19:15, guess what? Yes, it wasn't there and I am told it won't be there until 20:15 and it finally arrives at 20:30

... for taking me to the show and making my birthday fun! Off to treat my mum to an ice cream sundae shortly. Then its off to the pub to watch England play another enthralling (and easy?) game of footy. Keep your fingers crossed people...Just hope we can find a telly to watch the final while we are out in the middle of USA's national parks!!! COME ON ENGLAND!!!!! Off to visit friends and Neil's family at the end of the week...update you all soon.

John took me to Blackpool. He may have wanted to show me a UK beach resort. The street along the beach was full of decorations. I took a picture of his profile in the car. It was just a memory of Blackpool. We were on the way from Preston, where we met his old friend, and John talked about the word "love", because people there used "love" meaning "you" very often, when they talk to someone, like "Good morning, love!". That sounded awkward to him.
