    leaving for the airport in Winnipeg Canada. A 791.5 mile drive From Milwaukee to Winnipeg Canada. I get to the hotel and check in for $170 a night. I get to bed early because of the long flight and all the traveling the next day.

    ... Winnipeg. The timbered forests made way for prairies covered with wheat, corn peas and other unidentifiable crops. There are lots of lakes around and lots of water just hanging around as the area has just come through some floods. It is too damp to harvest a lot of the crops. The flatness then turned into undulating hills which we are still going through. The land looks so good with rich soils. We have gone past two potash mines which are a big scare on the landscape. ...

    Dale, Sarah and Laura (+ fetus) are embarking on a 6 night road trip circling around the southern US states of Nevada, Arizona and California. The goal: create new memories while NOT killing each other along the way. Dad will fly in from Edmonton while Sarah and Laura drive from Winnipeg to Grand Forks, and then on to Vegas.

    ... morning, as she had also kindly done way back in March when I flew to Vancouver for the first time. One final check of my bags, the condo and to make sure I'd done everything, and it was late once again by the time I finally slept at the condo one last time.
