... back at the house.

I did nearly an hour's hike through the campground and was amazed at the number of Ravens hanging about. I have also seen three bald eagles so far. Some of the numerous Coots have been feeding them, if you get my meaning. No people here during this season of solitude. I like that, as you know. It refreshes one's spirit...

Hopefully I'll get a few pictures to share with you as I enjoy the serenity of this place.

... While he was gone a fierce thunderstorm battered the rig. Bless his heart, he drove back to the park through sheets of cold, driving rain. We put away wet food and were thankful that our rig weighed close to 30,000 pounds and wouldn't blow over! We were on our way the next morning in cooler temperatures and sunny skies.
