It's easier to backtrack on the tracks you've made, so tomorrow, especially if it cools down, today's tracks will be just fine. It's totally overcast and the temperature is still 39 degrees.

Today is the first day of our run to Nebraska, for our Granddaughter's (Justine's) wedding. The views would have been great, except for all of the fires; there was so much smoke that you could not see the mountains. You can see by the flags the wind was blowing pretty hard too.

The altitude gain is seven hundred feet plus the ups and downs of the trail itself. The high point is just a skosh under seven thousand feet.
