Great wall of China is Amazing!

A travel blog entry by azn4lyfe

My fiends and I woke up fairly early. Getting ready for the exiting trip to see the great wall of China and many other tourist attractions. We headed to the lobby of the hotel 15 minutes prior to the arrival of the bus. We we're quite surprised that the bus had arrived already. We arrived at the tianamen square and the forbidden city first. The …

Day 3: March 12. C here: We were all up by 3 or so - the girls charmed by the beauty of this hotel. We met our guide Linda and our Mr. Zhang and they whisked us off to Tiannemen Square. We can't believe Beijing - where are all the people on bicycles? Where did all the highrises come from. This is a modern fast paced city completely changed in only …

As the train cut through the Chinese Gobi dessert we both enjoyed a good night of sleep. This time we did not have to wake up early, as we were due to arrive in Beijing in the afternoon. At the border the train was dissembled to change the wheels to Chinese ones. They also shuffled the carriages around a bit. So in the morning when we were looking …

The skies were still hazy when we opened the curtains of room 1601. Across the street from us is a bank building, and to our right we see the LG towers. We went to get some money at the bank. I found the first of many 'Chinglish' notifications there. The ATM was called a 'money recycling machine'. That is an interesting concept, how do you recycle …

We tried to find some simple Japanese food, but all of the restaurants around had already closed their doors. Except for one, the one that does believe in twenty-four-seven …

what a treat to stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff treat us so well, and the rooms are so beautiful. We only wish we had more time to spend in them. And the gym - we have never been in a gym so beautiful, with it's own yoga room, panelled in rich wood. Hard to imagine how our stay here could be better.
