    Goodbye Atlanta, Hello Tennessee

A travel blog entry by tnanoble on Jun 28, 2015

We get up at 8am with the intention of leaving by 10am as we had arranged to go to the Cromer's house to pick up our belongings that they had kindly brought back over from Australia when visiting mum and dad. We have breakfast and coffee with Kelley and Patrice and say our goodbyes and thank you’s.

I navigated to the Cromer’s house like a pro this morning and we got there pretty early, and I don’t think they were home from Church yet, so ...

... couldn't even get into the first bunch of seat, we were at the front o the bleachers instead. As soon as we say down we realized how extremely cold the air conditioners were, and that for the next two hours we were going to freeze!!! and freeze we did, we were practically ice blocks by the time we left. (conveniently outside was very very warm/hot, so when we eventually got out we defrosted pretty quick) Anyway after watching 525 students pile in, some make speeches, some sing ...

... Terry's sweet tooth face, we ordered a cheesecake with strawberry topping which he delightfully demolished. On the way back home they took me to see a sign board on the road that was for birthdays, so it had my name and age on the board. definitely felt like it was an American birthday then! Very cool. I'll attach a photo to this blog of it, might be down the bottom. Then when we got back home, ...
