... kids had fun diving for coins. We had lunch by the pool. By mid-afternoon, we were all ready to change and relax inside during the heat of the day.

By 5:00 or so, Mark and the kids were back in the pool, while Cheryl relaxed, reading "The Aviator’s Wife." Good read, she’s almost finished.

Mark had to call the owner, Scott, to come over and re-set the wifi. At the same time Scott noticed that the house was warm. Seems the ...

Another early start for the Farrs today. The vagaries of the notorious LA traffic almost scuppered our plans, though, as we got caught in a fairly substantial jam on CA91 so we arrived rather later than planned and missed out on one or two "fast pass" opportunities but, as it turned out, we didn't miss too much.

The boys didn't manage to guess where we were going until we were almost there despite numerous clues (what else is there ...

... 8217;s best not to make too much fun of the Clampetts.

Besides, the Clampetts next door also motivated us to once again try to construct the 'living area’ tent and decide whether to keep it or not. See pic below. This was the $40 “steal” that Ronnie had snagged via Craigslist. But even with our years of book learnin’ we were UNSUCCESSFUL (we told ourselves we only needed the box with the picture ...
