The next day we had a few hours to kill before we had to head to the airport. We had a late check out for 1pm as mum, paul & dad's flight to LA wasn’t until 4pm and my flight was 6.30pm so we didn’t have to be at the airport until 2ish. Since it was so hot we basically slept in a little that morning, had breakfast …
... and Andy were so astonished and surprised that i could do these moves( "sebastian, you sick **** you never told us that you could backflip!!") they embraced me as their hero, that felt awesome, lovely fellows. In the cab back home, me and the german guy Thomas were cracking eachother up, by making fun of Vicky's british accent. Ahw man that guy is hilarious, but Vicky thought we sounded like disabled ...
So today we woke up on the plublix parking lot and were ready and excited to start our actually first day in Miami. We had a to do list though, which we first had to finish before we would go to the beach or do some sightseeing in Miami. First I (Mactar) had to make some calls because of my credit card to my mom. Then we went to the USCIS in Miami to clear up things with our visa and flight back. It took longer than we thought and at the end they just told us ...
... out Joe’s Stone Crabs (listed on the 1000 Places to See book). Many reviews warn of the crabs being over-rates – they’re right! However, the seafood soup was delicious. We got there late and settled for a seat at their takeaway shop next door to the main restaurant. If you ever plan to visit just for the crabs, I suggest having take-away as well because the queues for a dinner table are exceedingly ...
Today we didn't even bother getting up for breakfast, instead just got up at midday again. We went to the shop and it lunch and hit the beach it seemed much hotter today. After spending nearly six hours there we went back to the hostel for tea. Tonight we decided to give te wine a miss and go for the vodka that we ha bought with us from Peru. We went to the shop and bought some juice, got ready and started drinking in the lobby area with everyone. For me vodka does not go down ...

Historical Traveler Reviews BEST WESTERN Atlantic Beach Resort Miami Beach
Loved this hotel
Me and my boyfriend stay at this hotel during the spring break. We enjoy our stay. We paid for a normal room, but we have a seaview room in the penthouse. The room was very clean and smell good. If you pay for it, the breakfast was good. A lot of choice with a good service. If we go back in Miami beach, we will reserve in this hotel for sure.
Not bad at all
I have stayed at the atlantic oceanfront hotel (now best western) in december 2006 and although the reviews were not that positive at all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is perhaps not walking always with a large smile but were courteous at all times. My room was clean, adequate and spacious and felt comfortable. The breakfast is included and not bad at all but avoid overcrowded peaktimes. The location was great, right on the beach and a pleasant walk over the wooden promenade brings you to the action at southbeach. Easy access to other areas by public transport if you don't bring/hire your car.
If you like unpleasant staff that yells at you, treats you like a piece of dirt, dirty rooms, bad service, stay at this hotel. If you like to be treated well run as fast as you can. This hotel is the worst ever!
stayed March 2007
My friends and I stayed at the Best Western Atlantic beach resort March 3-7th. Miami itself was a great experience, beautiful and relaxing; however this was absolutely no thanks to our Best Western. When we first got there they mysteriously lost our reservation and we had to pay to use their internet to reprint reservation confirmation, which costs us 25 cents a minute to connect to and use, not to mention the girl had the worst attitude possible, rolling her eyes and sighing heavily. Then she said even with the confirmation she needed to REbook us and then she gave us more hassle about the credit card authorization. Room service was only from 5-10:30 and came from a hotel 3 blocks away, not to mention when you pushed the room service or guest services button on the phone from the room no one would answer and we had to go to the front desk for every concern. Then they tried to tell us that they don't bill room service to the room...how does that even make sense? Aside from the cleaning staff, who clean our rooms thoroughly no one seemed to realize that they had a job in customer service and that is what they were supposed to do, serve the customer. The staff was overall lazy and unfriendly. I'm sure you could find a hotel that has a cheaper rate and is a little nicer than Atlantic Beach Resorts.
Wir übernachteten hier während des Feiertagswochenendes (Presidents' Day). Der Preis war unverschämt für diese Art von Hotel.
Alot of money for little service
We stayed over during president's weekend. The price was outrageous for this type of hotel. It was clean, but nothing fancy. We got there before check in time and had to wait until 3:00 to get our room. When we went at 3:00 to get our room, they gave us an regular room when we had book and paid for an ocean view. With an attitude the desk person changed our room, but was going to make us wait even longer. We said that was unacceptable and they all of a sudden had a room that was open. The day desk staff was not very friendly, however the evening staff was much better. I would not stay again.
NOTE: I need to preface this review by remarking that this hotel has been a Marriott Fairfield Inn and also iHotelier. It is now a Best Western and that seems to improved the service as we did not have some of the problems that others have had.
