Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. Took a family vacation to Gatlinburg, TN!! Don't have many pics on this computer but it's wonderful there. We stayed in a huge cabin. The scenery is out of this world. Pigeon Forge is great! It was beyond crowded but everyone had a blast, and we would go back in a heartbeat. ...

... when we got up. Then, we spent a half hour traversing the course - it was a blast!
Wonderworks was great for a 6 yr old. He was even able to do the ropes course with his dad helping him although he was a bit scared. There was lots of stuff he could do and only a few big rides he couldn't do.

We ended up really enjoying ourselves in Wonderworks - there were a couple of thrill rides, rock climbing, ...

Again we traveled through three states today. Starting off in Alabama, driving north-east on our way to Tennessee, we cut through a tiny corner of Georgia. We have arrived in the Great Smoky Mountains, which straddle the borders between Tennessee, Georgia and the Carolinas. The plan is to stay here for two nights and explore the area, Then, we'll move on to North Carolina and Virginia, our ...
