Zwischen Baumgiganten
Was für ein genialer Tag!!! Abwechslungsreich und vollgestopft mit unvergesslichen Eindrücken! Am Morgen sind wir bei aufsteigenden Nebelschwaden gegen 8.30 Uhr aufgebrochen, das Yosemite Valley zu verlassen. Dabei haben wir einfach unglaublich oft anhalten müssen, um die tollen Landschaftsbilder in Megabite zu verwandeln :o) Unbeschreiblich, deswegen sage ich einfach: siehe Bilder... Manche Ansichten waren so toll, dass es schon fast wieder kitschig ...
Visiting The Giant Sequoias
... Leaving the mountains and entering the valley, we saw farms of grapes, oranges, lemons, walnuts and trees of undetermined kind. This was definitely the agricultural area of California. At many of the farms workers were busy harvesting the crop.

... National Park. This was another most beautiful drive. It was dramatic and unlike anything we had seen before. The mountains were now rounded and silver grey. They had been worn smooth by many thousands of years of weather and stood out in contrast against the pine forests beneath them. It was quite busy here with walkers, cyclists and campers. So we spent our first full day in Vegas checking out several different casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and tonight we will meet up with some other David Cook fans, and most likely go for dinner at House of Blues. Really looking forward to another fun day wandering around the city, doing a little shopping and perhaps a bit of gambling. Neither Marla or myself have had much luck so far :-(
