We've stopped for the night but I'm still rocking with the motion of the train.... Left Virginia and headed north....passed Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC...and made it all the way to Connecticut. What a day: Florida to CT ( Palm trees to snow) in 25 hours - ...

Dinner at a lovely local restaurant......and a load of washing! A great few days.

I could write about the mailman, my subway rides, our favorite pastime: judgmental people- watching. Will she still enjoy hearing about these things after a while? Will she find my grand (or tiny) adventures as exciting as this ...

... and skateboarders too. Yale was founded in 1701 and today it retains its old world charm. The university has grown over the years and even as late as 2007 new additions have been made, some in a mock 18th century style, others using modern architectural design - an odd mixture when viewed side by side. We did spot the occasional Yale-sweater-toting student, but the place seemed to lack the hustle and bustle we'd felt at Harvard. An interesting halt ...
