Ok so we did learn about the Siphon they dug underneath the Colorado River... so that the river and the Canal don’t interfere… which is kind of funky, when you see the hole in the ground, where the river comes back up the large pipe and flows again in the Canal…

... had a dental appointment with Dr. Abdul Iniguez, a trained-in-California dentist, highly qualified, and, in Mom's opinion, excellent! ... if you are in the area. We finally got out of Yuma, and made it to an area that had a sign for a camp ground. We have not camped in one of those, so we somehow ended up in an RV camp and rented a space. Such sweet people. 2 second there and a man brought us an incredible pizza. A lady said she thought they saw a tent there before, so we camped on the gravel pad. This morning the caretaker said, we usually put them down in the dirt. ...

... with their biographies attached, so you get a real feel for the prison population. Quite interesting.

That night we crossed the river into California and stayed at the Rivers Edge RV Park, it was literally on the banks of the Colorado. It is an absolutely huge park filled with snowbirds from up north, over 400 sites and mostly full. Living in Hawaii eliminates the need for that seasonal migration.
