... special forces watching every move. My eye caught a squirrel obliviously jumping through the fence, bouncing on and off the White House grounds. I half expected a laser beam to frazzle it at any second. It didn't. I reckon If I wanted to I could have scaled the fence and made it up to the front door. All I needed was a squirrel costume. ... we have now reached Ravenna in Ohio. Our stop for for the night is the Rocking Horse Inn, which we booked only this morning. It is a 'stick-style' Victorian house, once a convent, but now a fabulously quaint and ornate B&B. We have just had a wonderful impromptu dinner with our hosts, some local friends and another guest. Taken aback by such generous hospitality, it just shows that if you can't win them all, you can certainly win some of them.

My favorite piece was all purple and based on Romulus and Remus (Rome's foundation myth) and I took a video of it (accidentally erased) and there's no image available online. Deep breath... there will be more ...

We've had some amazing shows in Ohio that have made me fall in love with this again. Most of this season has been really tough (weather, low attendance, protesters, not having our crew the first couple of weeks, etc.) and it's easy to get distracted by the negatives as they pile up on you. But Ohio has been especially lovely and I'm very ...

Tomorrow we're heading for Cleveland, which is a little over an hour away. Cleveland Shmeveland you say? No, we're on a mission to visit something there, but more about that later. ...
