... day and around three hours of homework. Hopefully this will help me become a more fluent speaker, which will help during class this coming year and eventually studying abroad during my junior year.

In addition to taking class I'll also site-see, make friends (hopefully), and do some shopping. I've also heard a lot about the Turkish spas in Jordan, so I'm planning on taking advantage of that. So ...

Well, I spent a few hours in the USO and ended up chatting with a few veterans, as we're want to do. The group going to Lourdes kept filling the USO, I was even asked if I was a chaplain; thats humorous on so many levels it's ridiculous.

I eventually made it to the Virgin Check-in desk and being a little early I was chatting with a Consultant Anesthetist from Nottingham who was in DC ...

So I've actually commenced my trip.
I'm sitting in the USO at Dulles; because the Virgin Atlantic check-in desk doesn't open for three hours. But at least I still have my military ID, so it's cool to get a "quiet" place to hang out. There is a large group of catholic priests taking wounded warriors to Lourdes so the USO is very crowded and busy...but there are outlets and free food, not too bad right?

Had to have an entry from the airport so it would leave a push pin on my travel map. Lots of time on my hands as I wait for the plane. I hope I have time and Internet to write a little something every day or at least post a few pictures. Getting excited! People watching in the airport is very interesting. All the different languages you hear, the different clothing choices. Sannie and Bruce expected any moment to complete our travel group. Next time you hear from me, I will be in ...

... Boarded the Washington deluxe bus at 11am. The bus arrived at Union station Washington at 3pm and we caught a taxi to our accommodation at The Harrington Hotel. Once we got there we had a bit of a rest then went for a walk to see some shops. Walked past the White House and then to Hard rock for dinner as we all wanted a piece of steak and some ...
