      ... shopping lucrative. Whatever the case, the airport offered plenty of opportunities to fill the few hours before our 12:20pm flight back to Dulles.

      The rain became consistently stronger as departure-time approached, and there were even passing thunder storms. While we boarded on time, we were soon advised by the pilot of a "technical issue," which though resolved within 20 minutes, meant that we'd missed our "transatlantic slot." ...

      ... soon as we start opening them. We had a nice breakfast this morning at the hotel in the knowledge that we wouldn't get anything to eat until the airport. As it was our last breakfast, a few observations about Americans and breakfast: 1) they have Tabasco sauce on their eggs. This is disgusting. 2) they seem to think that a patty of sausage meat is the same as a sausage. It isn't. 3) they have 'home fries' for breakfast. ...

      ... of America including the construction, bill of rights and the Declaration of Independence. It was amazing to see these documents in person. It was now late afternoon and so we headed to Chinatown for some lunch, we found a nice Japanese restaurant and I didn't like the look of anything so Ryan ordered some sushi and chicken teriyaki that came with miso soup. When the chicken came out it looked amazing so I pretty much ate half his meal!! ...

      ... back on the trolley to explore the Spy Museum and a James Bond exhibition. Interesting learning about spying and espionage. James' Aston Martin was on show displaying some of its tricks. Metro home and change to join the madness at Verizon stadium to watch ice hockey game Washington Capitals ( caps) verses New York Rangers.
