    ... and got into the car. Equipped with ham sandwiches, apples and bananas - we had no need to stop, so headed straight to Uncle Roger's and Aunt Carol's.     Beautiful drive from Ogden to Bear Lake today with fall colors turnings the trees a riot of brilliant colors against an achingly blue sky.

    A walk to the lake, crisp apple picked from the tree here at the B&B, and fish dinner ends our day.

    ... a cup of it - I have not tasted maple syrup like that before. It was not thick - quite runny and not that sweet. It had a lovely flavour. I think I must have made such a fuss about how yummy it was that Aunt Carol found me a jar to keep me quiet :-). Can't wait. So it's true - everyone has a truck! Jake has a big green truck and Nate has an enormous black truck (Roger and Carol's sons) and I lost count of the number ...
