... and just so you know, I have the best mother in the world.
We filled up with gas in Ashland and then took I-95 north to route 17 in Fredricksburg. Route 17 is the scenic route that heads into the mountains of Virginia. I was already bored out of my gourd before we hit I-81 in Winchester. Buddy was ready for a morning nap so I drove again...and didn't wreck this ...
... our way back to the campground we went over to see Lake Oneida and Sylvan Beach. The beach area also has an amusement park located across the parking lot. The area had a lot of tourists and people seemed to be enjoying the lake and beach area.
Tomorrow we will be in Grand Island, NY to visit the one, the only Niagara Falls. I just love waterfalls and can't wait!!

As we walked along with Harvey he was filling us with details of so many homes. Come to find out he lives in what is called Case Mansion. It is a home that was built between 1929 and 1934 for the inventor, Ted Case.

Left about 8:00 AM and crossed Oneida Lake. About 25 miles with rough water to start with but calmer as we reached the western end of the lake. Saw s kayak with a sail on our way. I saw migrant workers with ladders up the trees in an orchard, I saw a farmer making huge square bales of hay, I saw corn fields that went on and on, I saw tractor pulling at the Fulton County Fair in Wauseon, Ohio and several baseball games as we whizzed down the thruway.
