First day on the road.....pulling double trailers....in 35 mph winds gusting to 40 mph in the Flint Hills of Kansas....speed limit 75 and I'm going 58 trying to conserve fuel and hold her on the road....9 hours and 3 tanks of fuel later, I made it to the Cimmaron RV Park in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Guthrie has a huge section dedicated to historic district, so being in town is like being there at the turn of the century. They have kept many brick streets, and the buildings have been restored to their former glory, and we found it to be a peaceful, lovely town.
