... for our country...a country, that in our travels over the years, we have had to constantly defend or just shrug because the headlines about us could not be defended. Since this election for us will be forever tied to that little outback road house, we thought we add some photos of our outback trip that had not previously been included in this blog as well as some other random shots that did not make it into our earlier blog entries. This includes our weird ...
Bellevue, Washington, United States mikeandnadine... heard the word "blog" twice already she says and figures it is going top be me and the computer the rest of the trip... So my posts may be short - LOL. Not much to tell so far anyway. Maybe I ca sneak in an entry in Frankfurt ;).
Seattle, Washington, United States johnboll... darn delicious--even fantastic heated up the next day. I think Seattle has the best food so far. Definitely a Foodie's Paradise. After dinner, we stopped at Beefmaster, ("Beastmaster" to Phil) for shakes. Back at the condo for our final night we pulled out some wine. Phil read his book and ate more food, while I blogged the best I could and had a glass of wine c/o the Flowers family. Soon after that, I feel asleep, laptop in my hands.
Seattle, Washington, United States amandalbee... headed off for a duck tour. Another transportation first, they're based on WWII amphibious transport vehicles. The tour headed along the waterfront to the stadiums, back through Pioneer Square, past Pike St market and then to the top of Lake Union before splashing in to the water. The tour was accompanied by a host of cheesy tunes, as the brochure said, it's a party on wheels. Yeah. So we paddled around in the water for a while and saw the house from Sleepless in Seattle ...
Seattle, Washington, United States paulleck1975... of us went exploring the city of Seattle. We spent most of the time in the famous market, seeing fish being thrown from one end to the other. And sometimes thrown at the public, except they were cuddly stuffed toys! We also visited the Space Needle, where John also joined us. From there we headed back home and went out or a great dinner by the pier. My next stop after Seattle would be New York, where I will be visiting my brother. And hopefully I will escape the duties of house moving! :)
Seattle, Washington, United States samira_steve... again until it was time for our miniscule breakfast. We have vowed to never take an American carrier to a foreign country ever again. Americans don't travel off season - We avoided the June, July and August rush on this trip and we rarely seemed to run into Americans outside of the Christmas season. We have a few theories on this. The most important one is that Americans don't get enough ...
Seattle, Washington, United States thetembas... my demo reel.(barter) After I got back from there, I went to workout while Kelly ran to a Dr's appointment to find out what's going on with her voice. Fortunately, it wasn't serious, but she does have some nodes on her vocal chords. She's going to have to really rest her voice for a couple of weeks. The boys offered to take a couple weeks off from homeschool. Actually, Ive been helping. They'll be ...
Bellevue, Washington, United States thesteeles... Bogota). A long conversation covering family life, the possibility of death, her fight against Cancer, their strength and love. Our heart will continue to be here in a small candle, in their daily routines with the boys, in her medical appointments, in this times of hardship, which takes great should as theirs to go through such experience with Wisdom and Loving Care. Para ...
Bellevue, Washington, United States correcaminos... take much longer then three months to learn Tagalog but hopefully this time will provide a good start. At this point I am not sure it has entirely hit me that I will be living in the Philippines for the next two years. I have had a lot of time to prepare for this day and I feel surprisingly ready for this new journey to begin. It has been wonderful to see many of you the last few months and while I know it is going to ...
Bellevue, Washington, United States sherrypace... this episode before. Fred is wearing a magician's hat; Betty and Wilma are standing in a cabinet. Doesn't matter at this point. I'm just really glad to have made it here. My day started, as all my business trips do, at Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Pro: Airbus A330-300 has really cool in-flight entertainment systems. Con: Flight from Seattle to Amsterdam delayed two hours by faulty Airbus. While waiting at the transfer desk at Schipol airport I struck up a conversation with a ...
