Weather was back to Monterey fog yesterday, and a little chilly. It was almost gloomy when we arrived to play golf at 8am. Black Horse was great although the greens were brutal. On one par three we all hit the green and then three of us four-putted! Despite too many putts I played below handicap, helped by three birdies - the most in one round in ages. And good enough to win the most "skins". We cut short our ...

... to get used to sitting on the wrong side of the car. After an eventful car ride and typical LA traffic, we made it!! I fell asleep early so again haven't eaten properly in a day ( I'm dying for a cheeseburger!!) Everything we could read about where to eat convinced us that it would be 1; overpriced, and 2; not very good, so after settling in we opted for overpriced, ordinary room service in the comfort of our room. Plus it was cold and foggy outside, so wasn't a bad option. Got up and out of there by 9 and began the last 400kms to ...

I didn’t quite get the same pre travel glitters as those on my last trip to South East Asia, why?
I’m not sure, but it did eventuate after 13 long hours in the sky, 13 long
hours next to an alcoholic on his way to Vegas (ironic I know), 13 long hours
of an alcoholic insisting on helping the cabin crew at any opportunity he
could, seriously dude its not hard to clean up a spilt drink, anyone would of
thought he was a flight attendant off ...

... much it. Our flight to Peru was pretty arduos as we had a boring 18 hour stopover in Fort Lauderdale airport. This was only livened up by then occasional announcement for missing belongings, included the best ever airport announcment: "If you are missing a shoe please come and collect it from security" Five minutes later the shoe was obviously ...
