The next day, I had to be at the Red Lion Jantzen Beach for a Relay For Life training. EJ went to the movies with Emily and Jacob while I was busy. He picked me up that night and we came home.

... has thus far been ever present. This isn't my thesis, nor will be this published in the PH County Bulletin...so I will be embrace flaws and begin to cultivate a greater acceptance of my Self.

I hope that there is no assuming between us, I've made enough assumptions already, and I've given her an impression of myself more than once.  The best way to get to know somebody, word of mouth, assumptions, and all else aside is to truly be with them and listen to what they have to say.

Since our hotel didn't serve free breakfast, we decided to pop our last batch of Jiffy Pop out on the balcony of our room to supplment our stomachs until we could grab brunch at the world famous Pike's Place Market in downtown Seattle. - Drove the Hawthorne district (where we are staying) and wished that it was not pouring so we could have walked in and out of all of the adorable vintage shops.

Notice Ethan hanging out under the huge pair of...uhem, well, you know. After that it was pretty much just hours of driving to Portland. We have an awesome hotel here. It's a great big room. Interview tomorrow here, so we'll see how that goes. Night.

I had something to eat before returning to a sweetly smelling, clean apartment. I had time to finish carting the straggling remnants down to storage--the kind of stuff you just throw in at the last moment. We had about a 4 hour layover in Portland - just enough time to use the internet and relax in the World Club and walk around the airport a bit to stretch our legs and get ready for the big Trans-Pacific journey.

This area was the end of the famous " Oregon Trail" that hundreds of people used to trek from the east coast to settle out in the west. One famous landmark on the trail was “ Beacon Rock”. It had been named by explorers Lewis & Clark in 1805 & signalled for the pioneers the nearing of the end of their journey.
