    ... a load of beer, crisps and sandwiches.
    and now to set up tents!!!
    Mine, i know was basic but up she went, bags stored away and fire lit for the chaps.
    Mark;s on the other hand....well checkout the photos.
    A couple who were camping next door came over for a yarn, Sidney and Wes. nice people and even gave us some fire wood.

    ... ten handfuls of nature trail mix. Snack 2: Apple, Waffle Energy Bar Snack 3: Organic Fig Bars Dinner: A plate of salad, six pieces of bread, a full (absolutely full) plate of pasta with meat sauce, and a peanut butter cookie.     ... gorgeous Oklahoma scenery (minus the spotted tarantula?!?) carried us through to lunch. I napped after lunch and headed out with Alycia, Lorraine, Jamie, and Carlee before getting separated and engaging in some good conversation with Carlee. It truly is the conversation that makes these day-in-day-out 80 miles here, 90 miles there, bike rides actually bearable.     ... Actually another tribe called the Chinook used to pierce their noses.

    During the second world war, Tonkawa was home to a POW camp for German Soldiers and some 3000 lived in barracks constructed there. Most of them came from the Afrika Corps. In November 1943 they rioted and there was one death, Johannes Kunze.

    We left Blackwell Wed morning Sept 11, 2013 north on I-35. 50 miles outside Olathe, KS our van started acting sluggish, couldn't run air conditioner. We drove to closest Honda dealer which was in Olathe. Found out we had a valve spool went bad. Could not find the part any where in KC area so had to have it shipped overnight. We had a rental 2014 Dodge Ram to drive around till morn. We got a hotel room & just relaxed. They had van fixed by 10:00 ...
