... after a week of family and sunshine I feel much stronger. 10 months ago I started on this "unexpected journey" of surgery>chemo>radiation>more chemo for Uterine Papillary Serous Carcinoma. We understand that this is a sneaky, fast growing, and aggressive type of cancer. It wasn't my best year, but it certainly wasn't the worst. Life is full of challenges. Overcoming them brings us strength. Should my life stop? Should it be all about ...
... rooms with mirrors removed. DAY TWO Up early yet again and off to do our first real hiking in an Indian Reservation. Got to Indian Canyon and hiked to Tahquitz Falls in bloody hot temperature of over 100F and discovered why we couldn't hear the roar of the falls as we approached - it was just a trickle but still beautiful and serene. One would not walk across it in bare feet. For the first time in my life I realise it must be me that is mad. Parked to our left is a 65 year ...
... the time when I arrived at Grandpa's place. It was an intense ride coming in. Along with smashing ants on my dashboard while driving, I came into a nasty sand/wind storm that was making semi's question whether they could stay on the road or not because no one was able to see even a car's length ahead of them. I've never driven in conditions like that before but I have a feeling there will be a lot of firsts continuing on this trip!
When arriving, I ...
