Gord and I took a very early flight from Edmonton to Palm Springs on April 16th, and with the help of a tailwind arrived in less than 3 hours gate to gate. My sister Judy, my dad and his wife Marie Paule, who had all arrived on the 11th (Judy from Calgary and my dad from Ottawa) were all at the airport to greet us. Tomorrow we are off to the desert, one of our favorite spots...meanwhile, the sun continues to shine and the mockingbirds sing (well, Brian doesn't think it sounds like singing!)...life is good!

After a feast and seeing in the New Year with great excitement...the New Year started off well - Paul, Moo and I went for a jog around the golf course - beautiful temperature and scenery. We woke up a little later and had breakfast at the hotel and then went back to Costco to buy W a few shirts and pants plus wine and a pair of white cropped jeans for me then we were off to Chicos where I bought a couple of camisoles, pair of runners at New Balance, tea for Erik and Kara at Teavana and some T shirts for me at Loft. ... sweatshirts, pajamas, 2 tank tops, a swimsuit, 6 scarves, 8 pairs of socks, undies, and 3 belts. Not too bad- eh? After all that packing perfection we decided to check one bag after all, so I took everything apart again, put a bunch of stuff into Dennis' bag, and put a bunch of his stuff into my bag. That way if my checked bag gets delayed I'm ok for a couple of days, and I don't have to sneak 2 quart size bags of liquids past the TSA... Big ...
