Then we had a beer at a touristy Mexican restaurant...Las Conzeulas Terraza .....not exciting so we stopped for a great pizza at Michaels at The River... Then back to the hotel for a soak in the hot tub and now we are enjoying the warm evening on the balcony and sipping a glass of Kim Crawford..still partially cloudy but we hope to get up early tomorrow and hike up at The Thousand Palms ...
I came into Palm Desert annoyed but was still set in awe when I crossed the Arizona California Border. For the past week, I've been dealing with ants and plenty of them. I had to ant proof my camper and soon as there was no sign of them there, an ant army began to invade the truck through the air vents as the AC blasted me in this awfully hot weather. ... ride home took over an hour even though our hotel was only 20mins from Coachella by car which was very frustrating then we had had to wait for a second hotel shuttle to get to our hotel room.
Zach, Chris and I shared the king bed while Brad and Caleb who flew in that night shared the couch fold out, of course Zach slept horizontally in the king bed and Chris and I had half the bed to share between us so were very squashed and didn't sleep ...
... happy that we didn’t lose any shrubs or trees over the summer. Apparently, there were 126 days over 100 degrees (about 35 degrees Celsius) this summer – and so a sprinkler failure has dramatic consequences. We had one flat tire and one flat battery – problems that are easy to fix. Thelma went to the post office and picked up our mail that was being held, so now I will have to sort out several weeks of bills!
