      Great location for EVERYTHING!!!

We only got the chance to stay in New York City for one night, but in the time I stayed at the Marriott, I was not disapointed...as usual with this chain. Check in was fast, and the concierge was extra helpful with calling to re confirm our airport shuttle . The room was quite large for a new york city hotel. AS well, fro being a block from Times Square, it was quiet in itself...the best of both worls, and great location to maximize our time!

Fantastic service and immaculate rooms! Amazing value for money. The front desk was so welcoming upon check in and introduced me to their concierge which if I needed help could organise tours and transport. The free buffet breakfast was just the cherry, on top of the icing on the cake. Would definitely stay there again!

Very handy location mid-town. Walking distance to Times Square, live shows and mid-town attractions. Well run and maintained establishment.

... and needing a home run off their final batsman. They managed to pull it off with the crowds going absolutely ballistic. A final score of 5-4 to the Yankees.

Vaughan came back after the 4th innings with my now favourite meal in New York: garlic and cheese chips. These were amazing!

I spent the rest of our time in New York trying to hunt down more of these but probably luckily for my cholesterol they seem to be unique to the stadium. Pity:(

... I saw people walking around with plates of mustard so I set out to find this booth. I turned out to be a small mustard truck from the Maille company. They were giving out free sample tasting plates so I got in line. The plate came with five different types of mustard, a long pretzel, and a cornichon. I decided to tear off pieces from my brioche roll to dip in the mustard. I don't consider myself a mustard connoisseur, but that was some rather delicious mustard! ...

Well this episode is for Wednesday and Thursday. But before I start I wanted to say that for those who have sent emails thank you very much, its good to hear from you. But it is unlikely that I will reply to all, so just check out the travel diary. Wednesday we all went downtown (hey getting the direction correct!) to the Rockerfeller Centre and the top of the Rockefeller Tower (they call it Top of the Rock) 360 ...

... The top floor is full of actual dinosaur skeletons and those of extinct animals. I don't feel so old now. So incredibly interesting and wish we could have spent more time there.

To finish off we went up the Empire State Building in the evening to see New York at night. Definitely the best time to go up there. Thank god their lift is quicker than our ...
