    Great location for EVERYTHING!!!

We only got the chance to stay in New York City for one night, but in the time I stayed at the Marriott, I was not disapointed...as usual with this chain. Check in was fast, and the concierge was extra helpful with calling to re confirm our airport shuttle . The room was quite large for a new york city hotel. AS well, fro being a block from Times Square, it was quiet in itself...the best of both worls, and great location to maximize our time!

Fantastic service and immaculate rooms! Amazing value for money. The front desk was so welcoming upon check in and introduced me to their concierge which if I needed help could organise tours and transport. The free buffet breakfast was just the cherry, on top of the icing on the cake. Would definitely stay there again!

Very handy location mid-town. Walking distance to Times Square, live shows and mid-town attractions. Well run and maintained establishment.

    ... to our next destination, right…………… ;……..wrong!!!

We pack our bags, check out, store the bags and walk down to the Circle Line Pier. It is pouring, but armed with our umbrellas we storm down 42nd street to the ferry terminal. It's a lot of fun and laughter in the face of the swirling rain, and a 30 min walk we hop onto our ferry.

Come back in October was the message here.

Our next stop was the Waldorf Astoria and to save time we climbed into a cab.
The Waldorf is an extraordinary place and to to is like walking back into a past era. Everything for the hotel was made by artists as works of art... and this is ...

This is the New York you image.......shops selling everything from furs to Pizza, sidewalks full of every race on the plant - The Trump Tower and Carnegie Hall - yellow cabs.......wow we have been here twice before but it is just as impressive!!! THE "CRUMPLE" MAP In Amsterdam Cathy purchased a crumple fabric map of NYC. You can ball it up and put in your pocket. Brilliant. However a man on the bus suggested she threw it away and invested in a new one! See ...

... founder of the Center. Like Mike Dillon warned us, it was quite touching. Lee’s son, a firefighter, was killed in the rescue effort, and Lee volunteered at the site for months after the attacks. I fought tears multiple times. After that, we went out on a real tour of the Memorial site with Maxine, a woman who was working on the 17th floor of the South Tower on 9/11. A few times while she spoke, she stopped ...

... the bag that i did get was a satchel. After getting a new bag i went to the 9/11 memorial – passing through the usual security, but the memorial itself was amazing, very beautiful and moving. I left there when i was finished and went to the 9/11 tribute center just up the street a bit, had a quick look here and then went to the subway. I picked up a weekly ticket – the cheaper option for me. I then caught the subway to the bottom of wall ...
