... at home in Myrtle Beach, spending Christmas with my son who’s visiting from Colorado we decide to take a day playing tourist. We hit the wax museum and the aquarium, the alligator farm and Margaritaville. I was successful today, no kitsch purchased (though it was close with the “Fins Up” Adirondack chair Christmas ornament!). No matter where you are in the world, at some point you’ll have to exit through the gift ...

      Beautiful Day!
What I have learned this month...a new and

4)not to supersize meals, we don't get to run it off, ...

From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

... it is pretty much a ghost town. Everything is empty. The mini putt, water slides, amusement parks, and boardwalks are all silent and shut down. Even half the hotels are closed. We decided to take advantage of the off season and do what we haven’t done on this entire trip. We got a hotel room for the night. We went to one of the hotels and told them we were on our honeymoon (technically true). They gave us the discount room price and upgraded us to the honeymoon suite along with ...

      Looking for southern charm

A travel blog entry by ktchris on Nov 16, 2014

... early so we stopped in at a Starbucks for tea and wifi. I managed to get in touch with my famjam since it was my dad’s 60th birthday and the whole family was over at my parent’s house. It was nice to see everyone’s smiling faces and see my little Lulu looking all white and fluffy as usual. We drove across the street to WalMart and made a big soup and salad dinner to help make up for the fatty breakfast we had devoured that morning. Hello South ...
