Great location. Loved the shuttle to the mall, but able to walk back and forth easily too. Clean. Two hot tubs and a pool. Decent breakfast.

Nice hotel, rooms are somewhat small, but adequate. Breakfast typical Marriott fare. Best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the Mall of America. We walked across the street and were in the Mall parking lot. Literally. It's so close, you can just leave your car at the hotel, and not bother with parking at the mall.

We were up at 5:45 a.m. (Tom an hour earlier) and finally got out the door at 8:00 a.m. There are always more last-minute things to do then we expect.

We drove to Merrillville, where we chatted for a bit with Linda's parents, who had already eaten their breakfast. They took off (heading to Rush Lake, MN) and Grandma H & Uncle Dan …

We found out we could get a title on the car in the US because it had been written off by an insurance company as totaled in 1998 in Missouri. So selling it to someone who would take it back to Guatemala was the only way to get her off our hands. In the end we found a Mexican guy who ran a furniture shop in Santa Fe who bought La Monja. We passed by and saw that he had a sign in Spanish and some cars ...
