Nice hotel, rooms are somewhat small, but adequate. Breakfast typical Marriott fare. Best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to the Mall of America. We walked across the street and were in the Mall parking lot. Literally. It's so close, you can just leave your car at the hotel, and not bother with parking at the mall.

We didn't dally because Mark & Mary said they would make time to join us in the next few days. We were back on the road to Hopkins, my Mother's home town.

We saw some movies and also enjoyed some of the good restaurants which are almost as abundant in the Twin Cities as they are here in Portland. Here's the view from Joe's Garage, where we ate on the roof and enjoyed watching the sun set over the downtown Basilica of St. Mary.

We spent the day at Mall of America....took a few pictures, lot of stores, lots of walking. Just about anything you want from food to fashions you could find there. They had a Amusement park in the middle of the of the mall, they also had a aquarium in the basement, but did not go. I would have to agree with Jacob that the Lego ...

... of America/Airport--I thought I got a good deal until I started hearing other guests saying they were only paying $50 or $60 per night. We paid $70. Overall, clean, nice, cheap--with a Culver's right next door and a free shuttle to the airport and the Mall of America. No pool though.

On our way back (jump ahead), we stopped in Minneapolis again--and took the free shuttle to the Mall of America. We shared a ...
