Nice hotel, but not $166 a night nice. Is there an ocean and beach? Stayed in a resort in Maui for this price. Ridiculous.

We had fun visiting the girls on Saturday night. We ate at CottonPatch across from the hotel. We gave Christie the baby gifts that I made... She was thrilled!

Drove to Midland, Tx. And stopped for the night. Very boring. I still hate Texas. Midland, boyhood home of George W. Bush. Before we left Bossier, we stopped at Southern Maid Donuts. World famous and a must have while visiting Louisiana. Similar to Krispy Kreme, and just as delicious. Elvis only made one commercial in his lifetime. It was for Southern Maid.

Next, we visited the Presidential Archives and Leadership Library that was established by local Odessa citizens after the assassination of President Kennedy. It is now part of the University of Texas ...

The wrap up... Have been in Recovery mode! Our Thursday daytime was spent at the MOMA. Note to self, probably not the place to go during Spring Break, quite a crowd. A lot of groups of tweens and high schoolers, obviously on their school break learning trip. Also a new exhibit by Bjork adding to the crowd. We opted not to go to the Bjork exhibit because of the line to go in. We still saw a lot of lovely exhibits and the permanent collection has some of my favorites. Of course ...

... Wine glasses flying and chairs skidding across the deck. I was commenting on a couple that was nearby and I said "I just dont get it" Phil misunderstood what I was talking about and said "you don't get sailing for pleasure?" He has the constitution of a Viking sailor, an excellent inner ear. My stomach stayed relatively calm but it was difficult to fall asleep while moving. Some people know my thing about ...

... over the seat in front of me. Brother Coyote was making a break for Graham's or Ector County Coliseum, apparently that was not in the approved flight plan. Sat on the runway while the MAF critter police ran him off, or shot him. So starting the trip off with a kill and a thirty minute delay. Only in West ...
