Nice hotel, but not $166 a night nice. Is there an ocean and beach? Stayed in a resort in Maui for this price. Ridiculous.

We had fun visiting the girls on Saturday night. We ate at CottonPatch across from the hotel. We gave Christie the baby gifts that I made... She was thrilled!

... of Presidents-something one doesn't hear from the media. Remember the Roy Rogers Riders Club? George W and Jim were both fans. Our guide gave Jim his own copy that he will share with his grandchildren. Maybe there is a future President in our family...

Next, we visited the Presidential Archives and Leadership Library that was established by local Odessa citizens after the assassination of President Kennedy. It is now part of the University of Texas ...

The wrap up... Have been in Recovery mode! Our Thursday daytime was spent at the MOMA. Note to self, probably not the place to go during Spring Break, quite a crowd. A lot of groups of tweens and high schoolers, obviously on their school break learning trip. Also a new exhibit by Bjork adding to the crowd. We opted not to go to the Bjork exhibit because of the line to go in. We still saw a lot of lovely exhibits and the permanent collection has some of my favorites. Of course ...

After the picturesque departure from Lisbon at sunset the Captain informed us there would be ocean swells. This is small cruiseship, they call it a yacht. I think yacht means there are no stabilizers. Docked right now by a huge cruise ship, massive city on the sea. I like our little yacht much better, who needs a movie size screen by the pool? The good news my seasickness patch is working well. Our first dinner was a ...

As usual just getting out of Midland is the most difficult part of the journey. Leave on time? if your not on Southwest, forget it. I have never been on a flight where the take off has been aborted. Just as we began to take off the pilot hit the brakes and aborted. If I had eaten breakfast it would have ...

Liz is the mother of Mark Thomas, really good friend of TEJ's and mountain climber partner. Mark has become special to us as has his mom after her visit to Chicago a couple years ago with Mark. Had to visit her in Midland with her husband, Nick. They took really good care of us dining at local BBQ place, Petroleum Museum which ...
