    ... on the road. We figured this would only take an hour and a half or so and then we would be on our way.

    However…. last night we started looking at our tires more closely and realized they were getting pretty dry rotted and we should probably have them looked at before leaving. We eventually got on the road at 2:30 PM…. 7 hours after our planned departure time.

    ... as the sun rises. I can feel the change in the sky. We did not drive all night, though I was surprised to see how well we all did pulling off and sleeping at a wayside rest. Five hours!     10:12am We were up at 5 today but couldn't start driving until 8. There was a rooster crowing in the neighborhood that we parked in. He started crowing his little brains out at like 1am....he was still crowing when we left. Sublimely annoying!
